VIŠEGRAD: MINISTER OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND REFUGEES BIH HURTIĆ CALLS ON RS MUP AND PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TO SPECIALLY UNDERSTAND ATTACK ON ELDERLY COUPLE FADIL AND AJŠA MEMIŠEVIĆ

VIŠEGRAD, MARCH 27 (ONASA) – After Bojan Prodan from Višegrad, the suspect in the attack on the elderly couple Fadil and Ajša Memišević from the village of Omeragići near Višegrad, was released, the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed the public Sevlid Hurtić, saying that there is some unclear information about the suspect and that the perpetrator must be brought to justice.
At the beginning, Hurtić called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and the competent prosecutor’s office to understand this problem in particular.
“To understand the people who live on their chests, regardless of their nationality, that the miscreant must be brought to justice and that this case be closed so that, God willing, he will remain behind bars for a long time. If this is the person they are talking about, the information I received is a bit contradictory, namely that a few days ago he completed driving training, passed his medical exam, and now someone is arguing that he has epilepsy and that he drinks drugs and that he even failed the polygraph. Once again, I am asking the Prosecutor’s Office to push this case to the end so that people in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina can live normally and deal with their problems,” Hurtić said.
Mladen Đurević, head of the Višegrad Municipality, said that Bosniaks in this area do not have such problems and that this is an exception.
“I repeat, in this case I do not question the national basis. The Vice President of the Assembly of Višegrad is a Bosniak, we are in daily communication, I am a surveyor by profession, so I have visited all those villages and know all those people personally. There are no problems here in our municipality and I really wouldn’t generalize this. This is a unique case and I believe that this will not be repeated in the future. Bosniaks are always welcome in Visegrad, they live on their estates. We call on the authorities to resolve this case and to bring those who committed it to justice,” said Đurević.
He called for peace, tolerance and normal coexistence.
“The Bosniak holiday is also underway, which we should celebrate together in peace first of all, and everything else will be as it has been so far,” said Đurević.
