RS VICE PRESIDENT ĆAMIL DURAKOVIĆ ON ATTACK ON RETURNS IN VISEGRADA: I STRONGLY CONDEMN ANY VIOLENCE

BANJALUKA, MARCH 25 (ONASA) – Fadil and Ajša Memišević were brutally attacked and beaten two nights ago in the returnee village of Omeragići near Višegrad.
This event was announced by the vice-president of Bosnia and Herzegovina. of the RS entity Camil Duraković.
“I strongly condemn the attack on two returnees, elderly people from Višegrad, Fadil and Ajša Memišević, who were brutally attacked and brutally beaten last night in the returnee village of Omeragići near Višegrad by unknown masked persons. The entire house was searched, and those with visible injuries were transported to the Health Center in Višegrad.
Unfortunately, we live in an environment where the government has encouraged violent behavior with its attitude towards the safety of citizens.
I want to believe that this is not a reflection of the events and hooligan attacks in Banja Luka, but I do not rule it out,” said Duraković.
He added that the police sent a message that it is unable to provide security to its own citizens.
“Unfortunately, the police are the ones who sent us a message a few days ago that they are unable to provide security to their own citizens. And the most vulnerable categories of our society are deprived of it. I request the RS entity police to take their role in our society seriously. I want to believe that they will immediately react and find the perpetrators of this insidious and cruel crime, committed against two innocent and helpless old men.
I strongly condemn any kind of violence, but this one particularly affected me and clouded my Ramadan joys”, he wrote and added:
“I appeal to the representatives of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina to seriously take into account the environment created by destructive policies and act concretely with the aim of improving this painful everyday life of all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Duraković.
