SERVICE FOR AFFAIRS WITH FOREIGNERS CONTINUES FORCED REMOVAL IRREGULAR MIGRANTS TO BANGLADESH

SARAJEVO, MARCH 24 (ONASA) – Today, the Service for Foreign Affairs carried out the procedure of forcible removal of a Bangladeshi citizen who was illegally staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the second forcible removal of a Bangladeshi citizen carried out by the Service this week.
The forced removal activity was implemented after the successful cooperation of the Foreigners Affairs Service with the Bangladeshi authorities, which was related to procedures for establishing identity and issuing travel documents.
Before the removal, the person in question was placed under supervision at the Immigration Center of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, and the forced removal was carried out by a commercial flight from Sarajevo International Airport. The security and escort officers of the Foreign Affairs Service will accompany the Bangladeshi citizen to the country of origin, where he will be handed over to the competent authorities of the home country.
The process of return and readmission is an important element of the comprehensive immigration policy, and the Service for Affairs with Foreigners will continue the activities of forced removal of irregular migrants in the coming period.
With the continuous implementation of this procedure, a significant step forward was made in combating irregular migration and once again confirmed the readiness and determination of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners to manage the migration processes in BiH as efficiently as possible.
