SARAJEVO, MARCH 21 (ONASA) – The SDP BiH, NiP and NS/BHIKF deputies’ clubs welcome the unanimous decision of the Presidency of BiH, which, on the proposal of the member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović, adopted and, following an urgent procedure, referred to the parliamentary procedure the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and fees in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović’s concrete and clearly defined proposal is exactly on the trail of what the MPs of these three clubs clearly emphasized during the debates – support for the budget, support for salary growth for state employees, soldiers, police and civil servants, but also clearly expressed opposition to salary growth for the highest state officials.
The responsible approach and unanimous position of the Presidency of BiH, which aims to prevent the increase of salaries of members of the Presidency of BiH, ministers in the Council of Ministers, members of the Parliament of BiH and others, is a positive signal to the citizens that their voice is heard and justified dissatisfaction is understood.
“This responsible political move fully enjoys the support of our three clubs and is also an example to other politicians that adequate and fair solutions can be found with a little effort. For our part, we will make the maximum contribution to ensure that this legal solution is adopted, and we also invite members other clubs to do it together,” states the statement of the SDP, NIP and NS/BHIK Clubs in the House of Representatives signed by the chairmen of the clubs Saša Magazinović, Sabina Ćudić and Nihad Omerović.
