PRESIDENT OF PARTY FOR BIH EFENDIĆ DENIES BAKIR IZETBEGOVIĆ’S CLAIMS THAT PARTY FOR BIH AND NES ARE GOING TO SIDE WITH SDA

SARAJEVO, MARCH 21 (ONASA) – I don’t know what Izetbegović is basing his statement that he expects the SBiH and NES to be in a coalition with the SDA at the FBiH level if we have a completely different view on solving the current situation in which the parliamentary majority is unable to form a government “, wrote the president of the Party for BiH Semir Efendić in reaction to the statement of SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović who said that there is every chance that in the end “SBiH and NES will side with the SDA” when it comes to the formation of government at the FBiH level.
According to him, one of the vice-presidents (who would not even have been elected to that position if there were no imposed changes to the Constitution and the election law by the high representative) does not recognize the parliamentary majority as a principle for the establishment of government.
“He is clearly advocating for so-called legitimate representation, and the imposed amendments to the Constitution unfortunately enabled him to do so. Our position is that the appointment of the government should be resolved identically as at the state level, where the government is appointed by the House of Representatives of the Parliament, and the government’s mandate is appointed by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina statements”, stated Efendić.
He added that the same principle should be applied in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The president and vice-presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina should not decide on the appointment of the government, when they were not elected at all through the electoral process at the federal level, but were elected indirectly through the House of Peoples, which is elected in the assemblies of ten cantons, where the citizens, when they voted, did not vote. for the federal rather than the cantonal level of government. This is an anomaly that needs to be corrected, not cemented,” concluded Efendić
