IN SARAJEVO CANTON 23 NEW CORONAVIRUS INFECTIONS, 24 RECOVERED, NO DEATHS

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 15 (ONASA) – According to the data of the Institute of Public Health, in the past 24 hours in the Sarajevo Canton, 23 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed, after laboratory tests of 499 samples.
In the same period, 24 people recovered from Covid-19 infection. There were no deaths.
There are currently 33 patients in the hospital, 24 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation/triage.
19 patients are treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdullah Nakash ”14 of them.
One patient is on a respirator, while three use oxygen support to breathe above 15 liters per minute.
Today, Sarajevo Canton records 160 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 934 people in self-isolation.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 53,267 people infected with coronavirus and 51,815 cured have been registered.
According to this morning’s report by the Institute, the average number of infected people in the past seven days is 23, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 42.
81 patients were examined in the Covid-dispensaries of the Public Institution Health Center KS, none of whom were transported for hospital treatment. A total of 264 PCR swabs were taken at the drive-in point in Vrbanja and in the Covid dispensaries.
The Covid call center recorded 56 calls, and 32 interviews were conducted with patients via telephone numbers in Covid dispensaries.
During the past day, 1,269 doses of vaccines were administered on Zetra.
Even today, “Open Days” continue in this vaccination center, within which all citizens of the Sarajevo Canton over the age of 18 have access to vaccination, without prior notice.
