MUFTIST OF ZENICA: AZRA AND SULEJMAN HRVIĆ FROM TEŠANJ AWARDED ‘WAKIF OF YEAR’ RECOGNITION

ZENICA, FEBRUARY 13 (ONASA – MINA) – In the Mufti of Zenica, a formal reception was held today for prominent waqifs from the area of this muftiluk, where the award “Wakif of the Year” was awarded to the most outstanding waqif in the past year in this area.
This award was given to Sulejman and Azra Hrvić from Tešnj, who bought land in the Vukovo congregation, on one part of which an imam’s house was built, while the rest of the land will be cultivated.
“Thanks to Almighty Allah for the blessings He has given me and my family to have the opportunity to do such good deeds.
On this occasion, I would like to tell all Muslims to give, because Allah repays and rewards”, said Hrvić.
His wife Azra pointed out that an important segment of human behavior in the world, no matter how affluent, is the awareness of the importance of charity towards others.
“We should pray to Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, to guide us to use the blessings he has given us, to help and act correctly. God of health, we hope that in the coming period we will act and share more and better”, said Azra.
Mufti Zenica hafiz prof. Ph.D. Mevludin Dizdarević recalled February 13, 1940, when Hadža Mazić’s house was dedicated, and Hajdar Bajrambašić dedicated the biggest house in Zenica for the needs of the Islamic community.
“On this occasion, the Mufti of Zenica established the ‘Wakif of the Year’ award, in memory of this event, but also out of the need to thank the people who are with the Islamic community and Muslims, and who do good for the wider community. “Therefore, this award that the Mufti’s Office gives based on the proposals of the Majlis in our area has a double ambition – to affirm those who do good, and to praise those who are with us,” said Mufti Dizdarević.
On this occasion, Mufti pointed out that this award is a contribution to the affirmation of the idea of hizmet to the Islamic community and society in general.
“We all want good for ourselves in some way, but it is also important to turn around and help those institutions and individuals who deserve our help.
Therefore, I thank all those who are oriented towards those values and ideas”, said Mufti Dizdarević.
The reception was also attended by the Director of the Vakuf Directorate, Dr. Hafiz. Senaid Zajimović, who on this occasion reminded of the importance of waqfs for the creation and urbanization of Bosnian cities.
“We in the Islamic community strive to promote the waqf as a human need to incorporate and give to the needs of numerous beneficiaries who will live after them, and to remain in the permanent memory of people, and provide themselves with paradise in the world to come,” said Dr. Zajimović.
He reminded that the waqf and waqifs are something that the Islamic community and Bosnia and Herzegovina can and should be proud of.
“Thanks to endowments and the human need to do good and voluntarily allocate one’s wealth, a complete Islamic civilization was created, and this is what we in Bosnia and Herzegovina are proud of and what we are happy to point out when we spread the beauty of our country around the world, especially the Islamic one.” , said Hafiz Zajimović.
On this occasion, awards were also given to Ešef Mujadžić (MIZ Zenica), Ismet Bošnjaković (MIZ Zavidovci), Nadžija Skenderović (MIZ Žepče), Fehim Spahić (MIZ Maglaj), Fadila Suljkić-Kavazović (MIZ Doboj) and Ibra Kopić (MIZ Teslić).
