BANJALUKA, FEBRUARY 7 (ONASA) – Banja Luka hacker Aljoša Borković is suspected of hacking a computer and blackmailing Ivan Begić, from whom he demanded almost a million marks in exchange for not publishing a video with explicit content.

“The Directorate of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS submitted to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka a report on the committed criminal offense against the person with the initials A.B. from Banjaluka, due to the grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of unauthorized access to a protected computer, computer network, telecommunications network and electronic data processing , in connection with the criminal act of blackmail,” the announcement states.

After that, the suspect contacted the injured party demanding the amount of 500,000 euros in exchange for not publishing the video with explicit content.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS warns citizens and legal entities about the increasingly frequent occurrence of fraudulent e-mail messages that aim to steal identities, memorized passwords and data, noting that in the event of any suspicion of a potential attack, report it to the nearest police station without delay” , according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS.
