MINISTER OF FINANCE AND TREASURY TEGELTIJA – HEAD OF WORLD BANK OFFICE IN BIH SHELDON: IN PREPARATION OF FIVE NEW PROJECTS FOR BIH, NEW INVESTMENTS ARE EXPECTED




SARAJEVO, MAY 23 (ONASA) – Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury, Zoran Tegeltija, spoke today with the head of the World Bank Office in BiH, Kristofer Šeldon, about the continuation of projects financed by this international institution.
Given that Minister Tegeltija was appointed director of the BiH Indirect Taxation Administration, Šeldon thanked at the meeting for the cooperation and support he provided to World Bank projects in previous mandates.
Minister Tegeltija said that the implementation of World Bank projects will continue to be an important priority in the future.
He added that World Bank projects are important for the population of BiH and that they cover numerous areas, from investments in local communities to large infrastructure projects, as well as consulting services.
At the meeting, it was pointed out that five new projects are being prepared for BiH and that new investments and good results are expected this year.
According to Šeldon, the World Bank will, among other things, continue its activities on the implementation of projects in the forestry sector, air quality protection and the development of health system policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
