ZENICA, APRIL 2 (ONASA) – The Minister of Economy of the Zenica – Doboj Canton, Samir Šibonjić, spoke in Zenica with the Ambassador of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Di Ruzza, about the possibilities of improving cooperation between companies from the Zenica – Doboj Canton and companies from Italy.
The conversation took place as part of a meeting of businessmen organized by the Association of Italian Businessmen in Bosnia and Herzegovina “SPIN 316”.
Minister Šibonjić pointed out that the ZDK economy is a pillar of the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that as such it is very interested in joint venture projects.
“Together we are stronger. If we combine the resources at our disposal, which are primarily based on an exceptionally motivated and trained workforce, as well as the excellent geographical location in which we operate, we will have outstanding comparative advantages. Also, we as the Ministry are interested in partnership programs with our Italian friends, through which we would be able to further improve the business environment in our economically very active canton. Italy is our neighbor and Italian businessmen are welcome in ZDK and BiH. On the other hand, our companies achieve significant results by exporting to Italy. These are happy facts. On our part, we will do everything to make this cooperation even better,” said Minister Šibonjić.
Ambassador Marcco Di Ruzza emphasized that in November of this year, a Business Forum will be organized in Sarajevo that will bring together Bosnian and Italian businessmen and officials with the aim of attracting Italian investments to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this regard, Ambassador Di Ruzza invited all interested parties to participate in the Business Forum. Minister Šibonjić joined the invitations to companies to come and present themselves at the Business Forum.
Also, Minister Šibonjić sent an invitation to hold the same forum in Zenica.
That the business activities and cooperation of companies from ZDK with Italy are very alive is also shown by the fact that at the Business Fair that will be held in Milan in May of this year, out of eight companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina – as many as four come from ZDK.
At the end of the conversation, it was agreed to organize an official meeting between the ambassador and the minister.
