MEMBER OF BIH PRESIDENCY BEĆIROVIĆ – AFTER LATEST SCANDALOUS DECISION OF DODIK REGIME, BIH WILL CONTINUE EVEN STRONGER COOPERATION WITH WEST

SARAJEVO, MARCH 24 (ONASA) – Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović strongly condemned the decision of the BiH Government of the entity of the RS to interfere without authorization in the foreign policy of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to make tragicomic decisions about the termination of relations with the diplomats of the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are proven friends of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who continuously provide support for the stability, security and economic progress of our state. Only the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is competent to regulate foreign policy and it will continue cooperation with our allies and their diplomats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the latest scandalous decision of Dodik’s regime in Bosnia and Herzegovina. to the RS entity, the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue even more intensive and stronger cooperation with the West,” said Bećirović.
It calls on the member states of the European Union, especially Germany and France, as well as other democratic states, to publicly express full unity with the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
He believes that it is high time that the political vassal of Putin’s regime, Milorad Dodik, receives a unique and decisive response from the West and pro-Euro-Atlantic forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He points out that it is time to stand together against the political evil that openly threatens the peace and security of all people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
“Unlike the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the EU has not yet imposed sanctions on the political leadership of the BiH entity RS for serious violations of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH. The dangers of such a lenient policy towards extremists are increasingly being spoken about by numerous the members of the European Parliament who, among other things, adopted a resolution directly calling on the EU to impose sanctions on Milorad Dodik in January 2023. The MEPs, with a justified reason and strong arguments, called on the EU foreign ministers to support the imposition of firm sanctions on Milorad Dodik and all other persons in the leadership of the RS, who are responsible for violating the Dayton Peace Agreement,” said Bećirović.
He added that Dodik’s intensified threats to unilaterally destroy the Dayton Peace Agreement and peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region should not be underestimated.
“In that eventual black scenario, Dodik should not have the tragic illusion that only he will proclaim what he wants. If he unpacks the Dayton Peace Agreement, Dodik must know that he will not threaten the existence of the thousand-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina, but that he will call into question the existence of lower administrative territorial units created on November 21, 1995. Finally, let Dodik not forget, in November 1995 there were no legally binding judgments of the highest courts of the United Nations,” concluded Bećirović.
