TK GOVERNMENT: MORE FLIGHTS AND COMPLETION OF INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS ARE MAT’S BUSINESS PLAN

TUZLA, JANUARY 31 (ONASA) – The Government of Tuzla Canton today approved the Business Plan of JP “International Airport Tuzla” d.o.o. for the year 2023.
With the announced introduction of the third base aircraft of the company Wizz Air and the introduction of additional destinations of the airlines Wizz Air and Ryan Air, as well as an increase in charter flights, Tuzla Airport plans to serve a total of 600,000 passengers in 2023.
This is supported by the fact that for 2023, according to the flight schedules (winter and summer), an increase to an average of fifty flights per week is planned. In addition to the above, in the course of 2023, the completion of the construction of the atrium is planned, and with the completion of those works, as well as the canopy in front of the arrival gate, the image of a modern international airport will be completed.
This will improve the space for accompanying airport facilities – stores, shops and car rental agencies, and the outdoor space around the passenger terminal and the newly built Atrium will be improved.
The planned continuation with the preparation of facilities and infrastructure will adequately satisfy the need to serve a larger number of passengers and luggage in the coming period, as well as to service a larger number of planes.
The existing capacities, including the necessary airport equipment, are sufficient to serve the existing volume of traffic, and any further increase in the volume of traffic requires an increase in all necessary capacities, according to the Business Plan of Tuzla International Airport for 2023, which was accepted today.
