VICTIMS’ ASSOCIATIONS IN LETTER TO OFFICIALS: INTERNATIONAL WAR CRIMINAL KARADŽIĆ DOESN’T GIVE UP TRYING TO AVOID SERVING LIFE PRISONER

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 31 (ONASA) – The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the Movement “Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves” in a letter to the officials of the United Nations, the International Residual Mechanism of the Hague Tribunal and Great Britain, ask them not to fall for provocations from Serbia, according to which Radovan Karadžić allegedly resides in poor conditions in a British prison.

The victims are deeply convinced that Radovan Karadžić in Great Britain enjoys the highest permitted level of law as a convicted international criminal, according to the laws in Great Britain, these associations state in a letter sent to officials of the UN, the International Residual Mechanism of the Hague Tribunal and Great Britain.

– Radovan Karadžić, an international war criminal, does not give up his attempts to avoid serving life imprisonment for the committed genocide and four criminal enterprises in which he was one of the main planners. The Republic of Serbia, with the help of the Russian Federation, engaged over 120 so-called Serbian intellectuals, mainly persons who participated in, led and supported Radovan Karadžić, Slobodan Milosevic, Jovica Stanišić, Frenki Simatović, Ratko Mladić and other criminals, to write a letter criticizing the government of Great Britain, the MICT and the alleged bad conditions in the British prison where Radovan Karadžić is staying. Among the ‘intellectuals’ are international war criminals, their facilitators and people who do not recognize the legacy of the ICTY/MICT from The Hague. For a long time, the ‘ghosts of the past’ have awakened in Serbia, which do not choose the means to protect war criminals, deny crimes and even glorify crime and criminals, and this letter confirms that. Please do not fall for the provocations from Serbia and we, the victims, are deeply convinced that Radovan Karadzic enjoys the highest level of law in Great Britain, as a convicted international criminal according to the laws in Great Britain – the letter states.

The association requests that, due to lies and disavowal of the international public, entry into the countries of the European Union be prohibited to all those who tried to deceive and mock international law with their signatures.

Victims of genocide and other crimes support the work of the International Residual Mechanism and the UK’s commitment to co-operate and provide assistance.

– We victims have never received any support or seen emotion coming from Serbia. To this day, Serbia and its ‘intellectuals’ deny the crime of genocide judged by ICTY/MICT and ICC. Please do not pay attention to those who today write letters of support to Radovan Karadžić, fighting for his democratic rights, and previously testified before the ICTY/MICT about the innocence of Radovan Karadžić, accusing us victims of killing ourselves and that the death camps were hotels with five stars. Today, unfortunately, we have to read the same false stories coming from Serbia and Russia that war criminals are being denied their democratic rights – the letter concludes.
