NSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH: TO DATE 158,887 RESIDENTS COMPLETELY VACCINATED IN SARAJEVO CANTON

       SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 26 (ONASA) – According to the Vaccination Bulletin of the Sarajevo Canton Public Health Institute, a total of 158,887 KS residents have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, which makes up 47.8 percent of adult citizens, the KS Press Service announced.
        These are data collected through the Information System of the Health Insurance Institute of KS, on the basis of which a weekly section of the vaccination status was made.
        As stated, out of the total number of fully vaccinated residents, 123,044 were vaccinated in KS health institutions, while the rest were immunized outside KS health institutions.
        Of the total number of fully vaccinated, the largest number belongs to the age group of 36-45 years, 30,458 or 19.17 percent, while the smallest number of vaccinated is still persons aged 19-25, of whom 10,036 or 6.32 percent were vaccinated.
        The Institute points out that 334 people under the age of 18 received both doses of the vaccine, which makes 0.21 percent of the population.
        According to the number of citizens who need to be revaccinated in the next seven days, by the end of this month, the announced percentage of 50 percent of fully vaccinated adult citizens of Sarajevo Canton should be met.
        According to the latest data from the KS Public Health Institute, there are 139 patients on hospital treatment for COVID-19 disease.
        Of that number of patients, 18 were fully vaccinated, representing 12.95 percent of those hospitalized, while 87.05 percent of those in hospital were not vaccinated. (End)
