CZECH AMBASSADOR TO BIH TOMAS SZUNYOG VISITS ONASA INDEPENDENT NEWS AGENCY
SARAJEVO, November 20 (ONASA) – General director of Independent News Agency ONASA Elvira Begovic received Ambassador of Czech Republic to BiH Tomas Szunyog in headquarters of the Agency in Sarajevo, whom she informed over the work of the Agency.
During the visit, Ambassador Szunyog and economic advisor in Czech Embassy to BiH Vladimir Randacek, visited business premises and talked with employees of the Agency.
Czech Ambassador stressed that he is impressed with technical and staff potentials of ONASA Independent News Agency.
He stressed that he is surprised with a large number of employees, as well as with distribution of news in other countries, by adding that results of ONASA Independent News Agency are above all of his expectations.
During the conversation, General Director Begovic said that ONASA Independent News Agency was founded 15 years ago, in 1994 in Sarajevo, and that today it is one of the leading independent news agencies in BiH and in the Region.
She stressed that mission of the Agency is continuous contribution in development of true, independent and professional informing in advanced, Europe- oriented, multiethnic and multicultural BiH, by aiming on expanding of its network outside of BiH as well.
General director Begovic said that ONASA Independent News Agency has correspondents in Banja Luka and in Mostar.
She stressed that news of ONASA Independent News Agency, on languages of people in BiH, are used by majority of BiH media, institutions, public institutions, successful companies, banks, political parties and nongovernmental organizations (NGO), while English Service is used by representatives of international organizations, embassies, representations of companies and companies, and marketing and news agencies.
Director Begovic said that ONASA Independent News Agency provides services of monitoring and press- clipping to clients who want that, and that it is also engaged already for eight years in specialized service of tenders announced in official gazettes and in dailies in BiH and in neighboring countries.
Since December 22 of 2006, ONASA Independent News Agency is full member of the Association of Private News Agencies (APNA) of the Southeast Europe with headquarters in Skopje. (the end)
