FBIH PM MUSTAFA MUJEZINOVIC VISITS ONASA

SARAJEVO, April 26 (ONASA) – General Manager of the ONASA Independent News Agency Elvira Begovic received today in the Agency’s seat in Sarajevo BiH Federation (FBiH) Prime Minister Mustafa Mujezinovic, whom she informed on the work of the Agency.
General Manager Begovic pointed out that mission of the Agency is continuous contribution to development of true, independent and professional informing in advanced, European – oriented, multicultural and multiethnic BiH, by aiming on spreading its network outside of BiH as well.
The Prime Minister Mujezinovic said: “Without the intention to flatter and appease to Onasa agency, I have to say that this is a top news agency, which is in fact a combination of experience and youth. ONASA obviously provides services appreciated on the market”.
According to him, it is difficult to be independent and objective in present days”, and I believe that “Onasa agency is the closest in attaining that”.
“Onasa agency is a specific media which doesn’t depend upon sensationalist type of news. I hold high esteem of your agency and several other media as 100 percent impartial. These are the media that report objectively, providing information as they are, leaving it up to the beneficiaries to draw conclusions, which are obvious if an information is well reported, without incriminating anyone but saying the truth. Unfortunately, in other cases we cannot speak of impartial journalism, where everything depends upon the sensationalism and market”, FBIH Prime Minister said.
As an example he pointed out that, “by analysing any news from July last year, starting from the front pages and headlines, or announcements when pension decrease was being forecasted alongside with the bankruptcy of BIH Federation’s budget etc, from this time distance we can see that those weren’t news, but malicious foreseeing and attempts at influencing public opinion, along with the decision makers”.
Prime Minister Mujezinovic said that such informing “will ultimately influence negatively the situation in the country”.
During the visit, the FiIH Prime Minister toured all business premises and met with employees of the Agency. (the end)
