FEDERAL MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND TOURISM POZDER IN ODŽAK AND ORAŠJE: TRANSIT TOURISM IS CHANCE FOR POSAVINA

SARAJEVO, MAY 6 (ONASA) – Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder visited Posavina Canton.
In Odžak, at a meeting with the Cantonal Minister of Transport, Communications and Environmental Protection, Pero Radić, they discussed the adoption of the law on the declaration of Bar Tišina and Bar Starač protected areas, which represent the great natural wealth and biological fund of this region.
It was pointed out that their adoption is expected during the month of May, and the hosts emphasized the importance of the financial and technical support provided by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism for the Posavina Canton. There are also projects with which representatives from this canton will be able to apply for public calls for environmental protection, especially bearing in mind that this year the focus is on the rehabilitation of wild landfills in areas that are protected or in the process of protection, but also on the maintenance of habitats such as wetlands in Fold it up.
In Orašje, Minister Pozder met with Mayor Marijan Oršolić, with whom she joined an important event for this region, organized by the motorcycle club “Posavac”. This club is recognized as socially beneficial, and previously, among other things, they rehabilitated a wild landfill where a regional motorcycle camp is organized, which is attended by participants from the region, but also from Western Europe. This camp represents an important infrastructure point and, due to its specific geographical position, it has great potential for transit tourism, which is also an opportunity for the development of Posavina.
Minister Pozder also visited a country estate that is being built and arranged by a returnee from Austria, and spoke with the owners of the only hotel in Odžak about the challenges that hoteliers and restaurateurs face in their work.
– In the past few months, I have been to Posavina twice, an area that is often neglected. We want to support ready-made projects and ideas for improving the environment, as well as activating tourism potential. As we give support to those who are most often on the margins, we will also be able to test our true determination for balanced regional development – Minister Pozder said, according to the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
