GOVERNMENT OF SARAJEVO CANTON ASSESSED WORK OF POLICE COMMISSIONER FATMIR HAJDAREVIĆ AS ‘SATISFIED’


SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 29 (ONASA) – The Government of the Canton of Sarajevo passed the Decision on the performance evaluation for the Police Commissioner of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS Fatmir Hajdarević for the year 2023.
At the proposal of the Independent Committee that considered the work of the Police Commissioner, Police Commissioner Hajdarević was rated “satisfactory”.
It is important to point out that this is the first satisfactory evaluation in the last six years that a police commissioner in Sarajevo Canton has received.
In the explanation for giving this evaluation to Police Commissioner Hajdarević, it is stated that during the evaluation period, the Independent Board monitored the work of the Police Commissioner by holding regular sessions, by analyzing the submitted reports on the work of the Police Directorate, by analyzing the submitted detailed quarterly reports on the work, as well as through the submitted requested data from records, and information about events in KS that are significant from a security point of view.
The Government of Sarajevo Canton appointed Fatmir Hajdarević to the position of Police Commissioner of the KS MUP Police Directorate on June 22, 2023.
At the recently held annual press conference of the Police Administration of the KS MUP – the results of police work in 2023 were presented, according to which a 0.3% decrease in the number of incidents with the characteristics of a criminal offense was recorded last year, all four murders committed in In 2023, the number of criminal offenses against property decreased, and the number of criminal offenses in the area of juvenile delinquency and recidivists in juvenile delinquency significantly decreased.
Last year, the police in Sarajevo Canton secured more than 3,000 public gatherings, which is an average of eight per day, of which more than 200 events were declared high risk and more than 500,000 people participated in them. At these public gatherings, there were no violations of public order and peace, and no incidents, reports the KS Protocol and Press Service.
