NUMBER OF UNEMPLOYED CONTINUES TO FALL IN FBIH


SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 1 (ONASA) – On December 31, 2023. 271,904 persons were registered in the records of the cantonal employment services, which is a decrease of 496 compared to the previous month.
The share of the female population in the number of unemployed is 162,029, or 59.59%.
Of the total number of unemployed, 185,135 (68.09%) are skilled, 86,769 (31.91%) are unskilled, and 81,645 (30.03%) are seeking employment for the first time.
59,493 people between the ages of 15 and 29 were registered on the unemployment register.
Among the unemployed, the most are KV (85,549 or 31.46%) and NKV workers (82,618 or 30.38%), followed by persons with SSS (74,824 or 27.52%) and VSS (19,509 or 7.17%), persons with PKV (3,847 or 1.41%), VKV (631 or 0.23%) and people with NSS (304 or 0.11%).
In the same month, 11,277 beneficiaries of financial compensation were recorded, which is an increase of 312 compared to the data from the previous month.
In the month in question, 192,222 persons obtained the right to health insurance through the cantonal employment services, which is 49 less than in the previous month.
491 persons used the right to pension and disability insurance.
On 30.11.2023. in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there were 546,242 registered employed persons. The number of employees compared to last year’s average is higher by 10,577, or 01.97%, and compared to the previous month by 819, or 0.15%.
