AMBASSADOR OF BIH TO UN ZLATKO LAGUMDŽIJA: SUPPORT OF STATEMENT ON CONDEMNATION OF RUSSIAN AGGRESSION SPEAKS ABOUT COMPLIANCE OF BH. FOREIGN POLICIES WITH EU

SARAJEVO, JANUARY 24 (ONASA) – The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, Zlatko Lagumdžija, said that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s support for the document adopted by the UN Security Council calling on Russia to end the war of aggression and withdraw its troops from Ukraine speaks of compliance with BH foreign policy with the European Union.
There is no peace without the state of Palestine in peace with Israel – it is stated in the statement of EU member states joined by Bosnia and Herzegovina at the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle East and Palestine, which once again speaks of the alignment of our foreign policy with the EU – announced Lagumdžija, regarding the criticism from RS after Lagumdžija’s support for that document.
BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović asked BiH Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković to urgently and as soon as possible provide information on the circumstances that preceded, as she stated, the proceedings of BiH Ambassador to the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija.
In his request, Cvijanović asks Konaković for information on whether Lagumdžija, despite the absence of the consent of the BiH Presidency, had instructions from him or from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his action.
Only Serbia and Russia did not support the aforementioned statement condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine at the UN Security Council session. (end)
