SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 29 (ONASA) – Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Stojanović, in his first visit to the Posavina Canton, visited the municipality of Vukosavlje, the municipalities of Odžak and Orašje.
In Vukosavlje, Stojanović began his visit with a meeting with representatives of the Municipal Assembly, where they discussed the challenges faced by this local community.
They discussed infrastructure, water supply problems, and projects aimed at economic development as well as content for young people.
In Odžak, together with representatives of the SDP Posavina Canton, Stojanović exchanged opinions with the mayor of the municipality, Nada Ćulap, about the current economic and political situation, future projects, problems of using state agricultural land and other problems that complicate the everyday life of citizens.
In Orašje, the Vice-President of the FBIH held a meeting with Prime Minister Đuro Topić, President of the Assembly Blažo Župarić and Minister of Justice and Administration Mirsad Ahmetović, where they discussed the work of the Government of Posavina Canton.
A forum was also organized by the Serbian Civic Association-Posavina, where citizens, returnees and representatives of various communities had the opportunity to talk with FBIH Vice President Igor Stojanović about the position of returnees in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The tribune was also attended by representatives of the Municipalities of Donja Dubica, Novi Grad, Trnjak, and priests Miroslav Draško and Nenad Tojić.
“The problems that the citizens of Posavina Canton share with those in other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina are extremely similar. They are focused on infrastructural issues, challenges related to basic human needs such as water supply and the condition of roads, the situation of returnees and dealing with the departure of young people. This experience highlights the importance of common efforts at all levels of government in order to solve challenges and improve the lives of all citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is especially encouraging that, apart from the aforementioned challenges, there are no inter-ethnic problems.” Igor Stojanović, Vice President of the FBIH, said on the occasion of his visit to Posavina.
