DRAFT BUDGET OF CANTON OF SARAJEVO FOR 2024 IN AMOUNT OF BAM 1,262,733,248 ADOPTED






SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 25 (ONASA) – Last night, the Sarajevo Canton Assembly adopted the draft budget for 2024, which amounts to 1,262,733,248 BAM.
Presenting the Draft, Prime Minister Uk previously said that the revenue side of that document was planned on the basis of revised public revenue projections for 2023 and that it was balanced.
According to that projection, income from profit tax in 2023 will amount to 191,385,441 BAM, the projection for 2024 is in the amount of 195,538,666 BAM, and is higher by 4,153,225 BAM.
Income from income tax in 2023 will amount to 271,339,170 BAM, the projection for 2024 is 264,905,124 BAM, and is lower by 6,434,046 BAM.
Revenues from indirect taxes belonging to Sarajevo Canton in 2023 will amount to 508,050,294 BAM, projections for 2024 are 466,395,576 BAM, which means that revenues from indirect taxes will be lower by 41,654,718 BAM.
However, as it was said, in 2024 nominal gross domestic product is expected to grow by 5.6 percent, and real gross domestic product to grow by 2.9 percent.
Consumption is also expected to grow by 1.4 percent. Further, in accordance with the projections in 2024, imports should record a growth of 7.1 percent nominally compared to the previous year, while exports should grow more, more precisely 10.4 percent nominally.
Funds in the amount of BAM 82,356,446 are planned for debt servicing, foreign and domestic loans in the draft budget of the Central Bank.
21,747,721 BAM will be allocated for interest on loans received through the state, 406,566 BAM for interest on foreign loans, and 10,375,916 BAM for interest from domestic lending. 24,286,451 BAM will be set aside for repayment of debts received through the state, 1,582,055 BAM for debt repayment for foreign loans, and 23,957,737 BAM for repayment of debt from domestic financial institutions, which is a total of 82,356,446 BAM. In addition, the expenses for the banks should amount to 1,200,000 BAM, and for the costs of the dispute, the draft budget of the KS for 2024 foresees expenses in the amount of 50,000 BAM. (end)
