PROJECT EU4BUSINESSRECOVER – MILLION BAM INTENDED FOR ACCELERATED DIGITALIZATION OF BUSINESS IN PRIMARY AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN BIH




SARAJEVO, JUNE 7 (ONASA) – The EU4BusinessRecovery project, financed by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, announced on May 8, a public call for grants for investments intended for the digital transformation of companies in the agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through this public call, worth 1 million BAM, the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany will support the improvement of the operations of entities in the primary agricultural production sector through the optimization of business activities, by investing in tools and technologies that contribute to the accelerated digitization of companies.
Trades/independent entrepreneurs, agricultural cooperatives, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that are actively engaged in the primary production of fruit and vegetables, planting material, viticulture and olive growing, meat, milk and egg production, grain cultivation, mushroom cultivation, can apply for the public invitation. medicinal and herbal plants, beekeeping.
Support funds per application can amount from 15,000 BAM to 300,000 BAM (without VAT) and can only be used to finance eligible costs. Eligible investments and costs refer to the acquisition of equipment, machines, tools, communication devices, hardware and software for control, monitoring, management and supervision of production processes.
The project proposal with the necessary documentation must be submitted exclusively through the online platform javnipoziv.undp.ba by June 16, 2023. until 15:00. More information about the public call is available on the eu4business.ba website.
The investments that will be realized through this support measure will further develop or improve the use of digital tools, focusing especially on their innovation potential aimed at existing outdated technology and optimizing the use of limited resources.
Digitization of business processes, preservation and modernization of supply chains in the agricultural sector creates a basis for accelerated recovery of agricultural entities facing the consequences of negative market trends, and enables a response to increasingly complex market demands.
The project is financed by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany, and is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
