RESULT OF INCREASED ACTIVITIES OF MUP OF KS: 34 DRUNK DRIVERS AND 13 WITHOUT DRIVERS LICENSE HAVE BEEN EXCLUDED FROM TRAFFIC




SARAJEVO, JUNE 4 (ONASA) – After the traffic accident in which Dr. Azra Spahić was killed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KS increased controls on the streets of Sarajevo, and according to the official report, they also recorded a number of irregularities and violations of the law yesterday.
Police officers of the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs, undertaking regular traffic control measures, submitted four requests to initiate misdemeanor proceedings on Saturday and handed out 664 misdemeanor orders.
A large number of citizens were excluded from traffic, and the data show that 34 drivers were excluded from traffic for driving under the influence of alcohol. The report states that 13 persons were excluded because they drove before acquiring the right to drive motor vehicles.
Four drivers were excluded from traffic because the duration of the protective measure banning them from driving a motor vehicle was determined. On Saturday, two drivers were excluded from traffic because they were driving unregistered vehicles, while one vehicle was excluded from traffic because it was determined that the driver’s license had expired.
Earlier, the KS Government announced increased measures, where they said that the number of police officers will be increased on the streets and that the work of the intervention police unit and the traffic safety unit in the field will be increased.
They stated that the number of police patrols at the most frequent intersections in the city increased, especially in the period from 19:00 to 07:00
