SARAJEVO: FBIH PRESIDENT BRADARA FORWARDS DECISION ON APPOINTMENT OF FBIH GOVERNMENT TO VICE PRESIDENTS STOJANOVIĆ AND LENDO FOR CONFIRMATION



SARAJEVO, MARCH 31 (ONASA) – The President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lidija Bradara, today forwarded the Decision on the appointment of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Vice Presidents Igor Stojanović and Refik Lendi for confirmation.
During the day, Vice Presidents Refik Lendo and Igor Stojanović are expected to declare whether they will sign the said Decision, which should be sent to the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament for adoption.
Based on the agreement on the formation of government between the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of BiH and the other parties of the new parliamentary majority gathered around the SDP, Narod i Pravde (NiP) and Our Party, the candidate for prime minister of the Federation is the president of the Social Democratic Party, Nermin Nikšić, and his deputies they would be the Minister of Finance Toni Kraljević from the Croats and the Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Vojin Mijatović from the Serbs.
Almin Hopovac (SDP) was nominated for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vedran Škobić (HDZ) for the Minister of Justice, while Adis Bubalo (Party for BiH) was nominated for the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry. Also, Sanja Vlaisavljević (HDZ) was proposed for the Minister of Culture and Sports, which is particularly problematic, for the Minister of Transport and Communications Andrijana Katić (HDZ), for the Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees Nerin Dizdar (SDP), for the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Disabled Defense – liberation war Hasan Handžić (Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina), and for the Minister of Health Milenko Bevanda (HDZ).
The duties of Minister of Education and Science should be performed by Vedran Lakić (SDP), Minister of Trade Anel Kljako (National European Union – NES), Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić (NiP), Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder (Naša Stranka), Minister of Spatial arrangements by Željko Nedić (HDZ) and Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Zuhad Porčić (NES).
The deadline for the formation of the new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is April 6, and the coalition partners hope that a session of the House of Representatives at which the Government would be appointed should be held by that date.
Refik Lendo (SDA), as he announced, will certainly not give his consent to the formation of the government, and the second vice-president Igor Stojanović said that he is in a dilemma whether to support the new ministers, especially considering the three disputed names.
