CEC BIH: AUDIT OF FINANCIAL REPORTS OF 100 POLITICAL PARTIES FOR 2020



SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 9 (ONASA) – Today, at the 16th session, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Information on the review, control and audit of the financial reports of political parties for 2020, with the audit findings.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in accordance with the provisions of Article 10, paragraph (7) of the Law on the Financing of Political Parties, ensure public access to reports on the audit of political parties with audit findings and the auditor’s opinion, by publishing them on its website www.izbori.ba, and the auditor’s opinion in the “Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 14, paragraph (4) of the Law on the Financing of Political Parties, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will inform the competent tax authorities about six political parties, for which there are indications that they violated tax and financial regulations in 2020, as well as The Directorate for Indirect Taxation of BiH about indications that a legal entity, when providing services for two political parties in 2020, violated regulations in the field of indirect taxes.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, in accordance with Article 17 of the Law on Financing of Political Parties, submit a Report on the reviewed state of financial operations of political parties in 2020 to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Reports on the reviewed state of financial operations of 100 political parties in 2020 will be available today on the website www.izbori.ba.
