IN KS NO NEWLY VONFIRMED DEATH CASES, 16 NEWLY CONFIRMED CASES OF INFECTION AND 9 PERSONS RECOVERED

SARAJEVO, JULY 25 (ONASA) – In the past 24 hours, 16 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton, out of 569 people tested, and nine of our fellow citizens have recovered from the Covid-19 infection.
During the same period, there were no deaths as a result of infection with this virus.
Currently, 48 patients are in hospital, 27 of them have an active infection, while the rest are post covid or suspicious.
23 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdullah Nakas ”25 of them.
One patient is on a respirator, and three patients use oxygen support to breathe above 15 liters per minute.
Today, Sarajevo Canton records 90 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 721 people in self-isolation.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,866 people infected with coronavirus and 51,489 cured have been registered in Sarajevo Canton.
According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of KS, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 11, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 18.
“Despite the reduction in the number of newly infected, and in order to maintain positive trends, we appeal to the population of Sarajevo Canton to respect personal protection measures – proper wearing of masks indoors and outdoors, maintaining a physical distance of 1.5 to 2 meters and hand hygiene. Avoiding prolonged stays indoors, where close contact is possible for a long period of time, and avoiding crowds and closed spaces. advise from the Institute of Public Health KS.
In the Covid-dispensaries of the Public Institution Dom zdravlja KS, 31 patients were examined, one of whom was transported to the General Hospital for hospital treatment.
A total of 200 PCR swabs were taken at the drive-in point in Vrbanja and in the Covid dispensaries.
During the past day, 1,676 doses of vaccines were administered on Zetra, while according to the plan of the Health Insurance Institute of KS, the immunization of the citizens of Sarajevo Canton is planned to continue in the next few days.
Citizens are asked to respect the terms they were given for vaccination.
