TURKISH AMBASSADOR TO BIH VISITS ONASA
SARAJEVO, July 2 (ONASA) – General Manager of the Independent News Agency ONASA Elvira Begovic received today at the Agency’s seat in Sarajevo, Turkish Ambassador to BiH Vefahan Ocak, whom she informed about the work of the Agency.
General Manager Begovic pointed out that the Agency’s mission is continuous contribution to development of true, independent and professional informing in the advanced, European – oriented, multicultural and multiethnic BiH, with the aim of spreading its network outside of BiH as well.
Ambassador Ocak thanked on the invitation to visit ONASA, and stressed that he reads everything that the Agency puts forward in the media.
“That is one of the ways I have my access to public thinking, or thinking among BiH public on the current issues in this country, on what is happening in political and cultural life, as well as in economy,” the Ambassador said.
“This also helps me to follow what is happening in BiH social life, what are the people happy with, what are the people complaining about, what are the shortcomings, what are the problems…I need to do that to be able to better understand my responsibilities,” the Ambassador added.
The Ambassador stressed that ONASA’s English Service was one of the best source he benefits from.
During the visit, the Turkish Ambassador to BiH toured ONASA premises, and spoke with employees. (the end)
