The multimedia exhibition of the scientific-research, educational and exhibition project “Under the sky of clear faith – Islam and Europe in the experience of Bosnia” thematizes and interprets the unique spiritual, cultural, civilizational, political-legal heritage, cultural heritage, artistic, architectural, construction, scientific, literary , musical and other spiritual expressions and global contributions of the Bosnian worlds of Islam.
“It is important that today we draw attention to this space we are in, this is our only city gallery. Artists were trained there, artistic taste was formed. Let’s open the doors of this gallery again with big exhibitions. We came in here, brought a little magic to her, so that during her stay all her shortcomings would be forgotten. We are also faced with the large number of exhibits that we brought into this space and the complexity of the exhibition,” said Abadžić Hodžić.
As she emphasized, the corpus of material for the future museum of Islamic culture and art was systematically collected and processed.
“The exhibition is different from all the ones we have worked on, and some of the people in the team have been in this business for more than 30 years. It is not only multimedia, but also multidisciplinary and multi-thematic. We develop a certain dramaturgy of the exhibition, which is accompanied by a certain dramaturgy of the space. About 1,500 exhibits will be presented at the exhibition,” she pointed out.
She also added that during the nearly two-year research, exhibits were found that will be presented to the public for the first time.
Academician Amir Vuk Zec expressed his gratitude for the trust that Studio “Zec” will be part of this exhibition.
“It was a challenge to work on the exhibition setting, because this is a collection of phenomenal information, which will help us to be more aware of ourselves. This is the beginning of a serious museum. The exhibition shows the high culture of living in our region, it is the legacy of the worldview that Islam brings us. It is important that we do such exhibitions and monographs. I think this exhibition will be a joy for all of us. Because of our history and what we are, we are the seed of multiculturalism in Europe, Europe before itself in that sense. We have to be aware of that and be very proud of it,” said Vuk Zec, among other things.
The exhibition will be available to the public from October 12 this year, and will be open until November 18, from 10:00 to 18:00.
Entrance to the exhibition is free, and visitors will also receive a Guide to the exhibition.
During the duration of the exhibition, several panels will be held, as well as several interesting workshops.
