SARAJEVO, APRIL 23 (ONASA) – The association of independent intellectuals Krug 99 believes that it is bad to “stretch the mind” with historical, legal, moral, simply human arguments in the interpretation of the now “transparent intentions of Dodik and the collaborators to destroy peace and the continuation of politics by violent means against internationally recognized state of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
From that association, they remind that even 32 years ago there was non-recognition of the legal Constitution of the Republic of BiH, the formation of parastatal entities, unilateral abandonment of the Assembly and institutions of the RBiH, non-recognition of the results of the Referendum, the opinions and views of the international legal authority “Badinter’s Commission” on the lack of conditions for the self-determination of the people in the context the rights of every human being to sovereignty and ethnic identity,… “Identical as today with unilateral actions and too long generated state of politics and strategy “step by step” to collapse the state and achieve the goals of irredentism and secession”.
– The line drawn on the issue of state property is a justified reason for finally confronting the declared goals and realistic assumptions necessary to strengthen the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of BiH. In the newly created circumstances, it is necessary first of all to define a unique state-building response and position in the face of obvious threats to peace and to find concrete responses of all state-building political forces to Dodik’s unilateral actions and unconstitutional actions – they state in a press release from Krug 99.
They emphasize that at this time it is necessary to create immunity to the manipulative powers of propaganda, hybrid warfare and the production of fatalism, as well as the unwieldy “interpretation” of Dodik’s actions and irredentist collaborators, whether in politics or the public.
– The upcoming blockades, the establishment of internal borders and border guards, the unity of the state territory, new obstacles to freedom of movement and business, the acceleration of migration from the country must not be a belated reason for sobering up. The lessons of those events from the beginning of the 1990s and the naivety of the policy of concessions that was expressed at that time must never be repeated – Krug 99 points out.
They believe that it is true that “Dodik’s intentions are to pursue his personal interests, which in conjunction with big-state expansionism preserve the existing system of corruption and nepotism with the aim of protecting personal wealth and power.”
– The intention to seize the territory of a sovereign state through blockades and secession, to avoid responsibility and possible arrest for a series of committed criminal acts, seems to have the support of a large part of the opposition bloc. That’s why Dodik doesn’t want the Constitutional Court of BiH, he doesn’t want the Court of BiH, he doesn’t want the rule of law and he doesn’t want independent judicial bodies, but he wants those that only he controls and manages – Krug 99 emphasizes.
They add that a necessary step of active resistance to the last announced act of collapsing the state and peace is the rapid crystallization of state-building political alliances, regardless of the coalition arrangements of political forces.
– Threats to state sovereignty, territorial integrity and the renewal of violence, both political and security, are facing responsible political entities and all citizens. The population must have a reliable support for preserving their own security, as much as the state. The forces of irredentism and separatism have laid bare their intentions, and concrete answers must be unique, clear and transparent. Vocabulary, rhetorical gymnastics and involuntary dazzle of the public’s eyes will be recognized with the growth of new aggressive intentions and dangers – according to Krug 99.
They warn that because of this, international alliances are necessary as well as expectations to fulfill the guaranteed obligations of witnesses and signatories of the Dayton Agreement for peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that real intentions and actions will have to be measured by concrete and clearly outlined goals and engagement.
– Additional international military forces should be deployed on the external borders of BiH – Foča, Bijeljina, Brčko, Kostajnica, Livno and elsewhere. Their goals will be all the more convincing if this is followed by concrete support for the state-forming security and defense forces in the country. Especially now when there are increasingly loud proclamations about the intention to engage the armed forces of Serbia and Croatia, as in the last war, in the case of proclaimed and feigned “threat” for “their” people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they state in the press release from Krug 99.
