ZENICA, AUGUST 4 (ONASA) – The religious and cultural manifestation “Lastavica 2024” ended today with a religious program on the Lastavica plateau, in the presence of a large number of believers, reports MINA.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of this manifestation, Mufti Hafiz of Zenica, Prof. Dr. Mevludin-ef. Dizdarević stated that Lastavica is important because it nurtures the needs of the human soul, but also the needs of man as such.
“People are social beings. No matter how individual and special we are, we need another person, his warmth, companionship with him, but also his services. Therefore, it is understandable that people in all times and on all meridians looked for a suitable time and place for socializing and meetings. Our ancestors found it in this very place, and they chose the time of sunny days when the uncertain summer arrives, which is safety and life. And whenever the believers gather, it is also a good time to mention Allah, because any gathering in which His name is not mentioned is harmful, and any gathering in which Allah’s name is invoked is with berichet and His blessing. And that’s how Lastavica, this dovište and Bosniak choir was born as an expression of the spiritual and general human needs of man,” he said.
The mufti, through the example of the program activity of the event “Swallows on the march” in which members of the Youth Network participated, pointed out the need to empower the youth with Bosnian soil and rich Bosnian history. He said that a nation that does not develop pride in its past and its ancestors cannot succeed, and certainly has no future.
“A nation that does not develop love for its countrymen and its native land cannot survive. For a long and too long, generations of our youth were brought up to despise their history, because they were not taught it, to be ashamed of their past, to look for other people’s greats, because they were not aware of their own. Thank God we have reached the time when we can teach our children about our writers, great heroes and famous ancestors in peace and freedom. And there are not a few of them”, emphasized the mufti.
He also said that “this historical place is an opportunity to look at each other and to understand that all of us together, and each one individually, have responsibility for the future of this country and this nation”.
“It is the blackest betrayal of our martyrs and all our ancestors who died for the homeland and freedom if we are not aware of the moment and the responsibility that is before us”, emphasized Mufti Mevludin-ef. Dizdarević.
The main imam of Zenica, M.Sc. Sumedin-ef. Kobilica, among other things, said that Lastavica is “a beautiful custom and a beautiful gathering on the grounds of the Mufti of Zenica”.
The swallow’s message was sent today by the Director of the Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Hafiz Mensur-ef. Malkic.
“We come to our mountains, to the beautiful areas of our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, among other things, to glorify and celebrate Allah, the Almighty, together with nature, with rocks, with mountains, with birds at dawn and during the day, with good people, aware that the seven heavens, the earth, and everything on them glorify Allah, the Almighty, and that there is nothing that does not glorify Allah, the Almighty, by praising Him, but people often do not understand that glorification, that tesbih. And by coming to the end, we are reminded of the obligation to thank Allah, the Most High, for the tesbih, as well as the fact that Allah, the Most High, created us to be obedient to him,” Malkić said, among other things.
He emphasized that “we are coming to the end to remind ourselves of our history, of who we are and what we are – to remind ourselves that we are Muslims, devoted to Allah, the Most High, and that we are Bosniaks and Bosniaks, sons and daughters of our beautiful homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
“Be proud of your homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina and your roots. So, always remember that you are Muslims, that you are Bosniaks, that our homeland is Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia is our land and our border. Many of our brothers and sisters gave their lives for her. Here in Bosnia are the cemeteries of our fathers and grandfathers. We should all take care of our homeland, Bosnia,” emphasized Malkić.
He also called on those gathered to preserve values.
“Be obedient to your Creator, stick to our beautiful religion and our beautiful traditions, be good people, be good Muslims, be good Bosniaks and Bosniaks. Protect the values that our unique Islamic community, led by the respected reisul-ulema Dr. Husein-ef. Kavazović, promotes and advocates, protect the integrity and values of your families, protect your prayers, protect the unity of our ranks, our congregation and our Community. Take care of the light, the light of our beautiful religion of religion-Islam,” said Hafiz Dr. Mensur-ef, among other things, in the Swallow message. Malkic.
The program ended with the recitation of the Swallow’s Prayer.
The event “Lastavica 2024” began on July 26 and included numerous religious, cultural and sports activities.
Lastavica is a dovište and a meeting place where for centuries the inhabitants of the surrounding villages that gravitate to this locality have gathered and socialized. It is located on the border between the municipalities of Zavidovići and Kakanj and the town of Zenica. (end)
