SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 25 (ONASA) – At the request of the City Administration of the City of Sarajevo, the Ministry of Transport of the Sarajevo Canton has given consent for a temporary change in the traffic regime in order to hold the public reception of New Year 2024, which will be carried out by the police officers of the Police Department of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton.
From December 28, 2023, from 08:00 until January 1, 2024, until 03:00, traffic is prohibited in the left lane in Maršala Tita Street, on the part from the Eternal Fire monument to Kulovića Street and part of the sidewalk on the left side of the road, while the remaining part roads and sidewalks remain free for traffic.
On December 30, 2023, from 19:00 to 22:00, due to the general rehearsal of the musical performance, motor vehicle traffic is prohibited on Mula Mustafa Bašeskije Street, from the junction with Pehlivanuša Street to the junction with Kaptol Street and Maršala Tita Street, on the part from the junction with Kaptol Street to the junction with Kulovića Street. The ban does not apply to emergency and fire service vehicles, police and escort vehicles.
Also, on the same day from 08:00 to 1 January 2024 until 03:00, traffic and parking of motor vehicles will be prohibited in Kaptol Street, on the part of the junction with Mehmeda Spahe Street until the junction with Mula Mustafa Bašeskije Street.
For Sunday, December 31, 2023, from 16:00 to 03:00 on January 1, 2024, a traffic ban for motor vehicles is planned on Mula Mustafa Bašeskije Street, part of the junction with Pehlivanuša Street, up to the junction with Kaptol Street and Maršala Tita Street on the part from the junction with Kaptol Street to the junction with Radićeva Street (the ban does not apply to emergency and fire service vehicles, police and escorted vehicles); prohibition of traffic and parking in Ćemaluša Street, on the part from the junction with Mula Mustafa Bašeskije Street to the junction with Branilaca Sarajevo Street; and ban on traffic and parking in Kulovića Street, on the part of the junction with Branilaca Sarajevo Street up to the junction with Maršala Tita Street.
On the same day, traffic and parking bans will also be in force in Dalmatinska Street, on the part from the junction with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the junction with Maršala Tita Street; parking ban on Alije Isakovića Street, in the immediate vicinity of Maršala Tita Street; prohibition of traffic and parking in Pruščakova Street, on the part from the junction with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the junction with Maršala Tita Street; prohibition of traffic and parking in Trampina Street, on the part from the junction with Mehmeda Spahe Street to the junction with Maršala Tito Street; prohibition of traffic and parking in Šenoina Street, on the part of the junction with Branilaca Sarajevo Street up to the junction with Maršala Tita Street; and ban on traffic and parking in Radićeva Street, on the part from the junction with Branilaca Sarajevo Street to the junction with Maršala Tita Street.
The ban on parking motor vehicles on Sunday, December 31, from 16:00 to 22:00, will be in effect in the streets of Zelenih Beretki and Branilaca Sarajeva, from the intersection with Ćumurija street to the junction with Radićeva street, due to the New Year concert of the Sarajevo Philharmonic.
Alternative routes during the traffic regime change will be: Lapišnica – M-5 – Put Mladih Muslimana (for trucks and buses); Obala Kulina Bana – Bentbaša – M-5 – Put Mladih Muslimana (for trucks and buses); Sagrdžije – Telali – Safvet-bey Bašagić (for trucks); Sagrdžije – Kračule – Brodac – Obala Kulina Bana; Mula Mustafa Bašeskija – Pehlivanuša – Petrakijina – Mehmed-paša Sokolovića – Mejtaš – Čekaluša – Džidžikovac; Koševo – Marshal Tita; Defenders of Sarajevo – Miss Irbina – Musal – Marshal Tito; Defenders of Sarajevo – Miss Irbina – Reis Džemaludin Čaušević – Obala Kulina Bana.
An appeal was sent to all road users to respect the orders of authorized officials during the implementation of these activities.
From December 20 to January 15, increased controls of traffic participants are in force, with a special emphasis on driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and driving a vehicle without a driver’s license, announced the MUP of Sarajevo Canton.
