SARAJEVO, JULY 12 (ONASA) – The Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs achieved the following results in the performance of inspection supervision on the territory of the Federation of BiH in the period from the beginning of January to the end of June 2023:
· 76,037 inspections were carried out, of which 70,142 in cross-border traffic and 5,895 in internal traffic;
· 5,390 records were made, 2,520 samples were taken, and 894 phytocertificates were issued;
· a total of 71,293 decisions were issued, of which 70,142 in cross-border traffic and 1,151 in internal traffic;
· 1,899 misdemeanor warrants with a financial burden of 2,855,779.00 BAM are scheduled to be issued for established misdemeanors;
· a total of 2,136,590.50 BAM was collected in the name of taxes and fees in the cross-border trade of goods;
· an amount for collection of a total of 636,874.88 KM was determined in the name of fees for water, air, roads, electric power and packaging waste, and associated fees;
· goods worth 2,962.00 BAM were put out of circulation
· 11 bans on the import of goods into BiH were passed, which prevented the placing on the market and the use of illegal or defective food and general use products.
“The Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs, with the results achieved in regular and increased inspection supervisions and in 2023, confirms its determination to undertake maximum efforts in the fight against the gray economy, environmental protection, control of incentives in agriculture, fulfillment of legal obligations in the field of road transport, and in the field of of veterinary, hygienic and sanitary standards of economic entities that deal with food, with the aim of protecting the health of the population, the environment, consumer rights and respecting the legality in the operations of economic entities in the FBiH whose activities are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs”, said the director of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs inspection affairs, Mr. Anis Ajdinović.
Since April 2021, this Administration, through the Federal Market Inspectorate, has been continuously monitoring compliance with the FBiH Government’s decisions on limiting the margins of certain basic foodstuffs and other products, as well as oil, and since the beginning of 2023, 377 inspections have been carried out in this regard, in within which 127 subjects of supervision were found to have irregularities, which entail the issuance of 228 misdemeanor orders with a financial burden of 141,250.00 BAM. I would like to remind you that we share jurisdiction in this area with the cantonal inspection bodies, and according to the data provided so far by the cantonal inspection bodies, a total of 998 inspection inspections have been carried out in the FBiH since the beginning of the year, within which irregularities were determined, which entail the issuance of 509 misdemeanor orders with financial with a burden of 309,402.00 BAM, and issued 53 decisions on the elimination of deficiencies. I emphasize that the data is incomplete, and since the beginning of the implementation of the decisions in April 2021, the inspection bodies in the FBiH have carried out more than 6,000 inspections, found violations that entail the issuance of at least 2,000 search warrants, with a financial burden of at least 1,500,000.00 BAM.
As of March 2023, all federal inspectorates are carrying out enhanced inspection supervision in the area of the gray economy in accordance with the “Program of enhanced inspection supervision in the area of all cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period March-August 2023″, and the subject of inspection controls are , among other things, trading in goods and services, keeping business books, trading in wood assortments, construction materials, issuing fiscal invoices, using financial incentives in agriculture and rural development, performing pharmaceutical activities, and supervision in other areas under the jurisdiction of 11 federal inspectorates, in order to the forms of gray economy and illegal work in FBiH were systematically and comprehensively treated”, added director Ajdinović.
