SARAJEVO, JULY 26 (ONASA) – The successes of the BH Telecom company and their largest domestic platform for the production of audio-visual content BH Content Lab, which enabled the expansion of the production of top quality domestic series, which quickly became one of the most watched in the region, were presented today at the press conference.
The contents that await the audience of this year’s 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, of which BH Telecom is the proud main sponsor again this year, were also presented, three series produced by the BH Content Lab platform of BH Telecom nominated for the Heart of Sarajevo award, as well as eleven projects that received through a public call support for further development of the scenario.
So far, BH Telecom has invested over 10 million BAM through the BH Content Lab platform, and by the end of 2024 it is planned to invest a total of 30 million BAM.
“BH Content Lab is the realization of our vision that a company like BH Telecom should offer premium and exclusive content for Moja TV users, and achieve great regional and global interest in series from our BHCL production. We are fully aware of what our investment means for Bosnia and Herzegovina. cinematography, because in addition to commercial interest, this is another example of our social responsibility, in which we are leaders in BiH. Because of all this, I am proud of the whole team and all our partners who are creating a new era of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with us. of cinematography”, said the CEO of BH Telecom, Sedin Kahriman.
“The partnership of the Sarajevo Film Festival and BH Telecom shows how a well-designed strategic action can quickly change the entire paradigm of an entire economic branch, in this case BH cinematography.
Since BH Telecom entered the film and TV content business, domestic production has quadrupled, full employment has been achieved in the sector, and the domestic audience’s interest in domestic products has returned. “Sarajevo Film Festival especially serves as a platform for regional and international placement of domestic content and we are already seeing very noticeable breakthroughs in foreign markets as well, above all content produced by BH Telecom,” emphasized Sarajevo Film Festival director Jovan Marjanović.
BH Telecom was a participant in prestigious festivals and markets such as: Berlinale Series Market, Market Series Mania in Lille and NEM Zagreb, where the series that are currently realized through the BH Content Lab platform were presented.
By participating in these festivals, BH Telecom was able to enter not only the regional, but also the world market by establishing cooperation with the global distributor BETA GMBH Film.
BH Telecom has so far assigned the rights to broadcast three series (“Kotlina”, “Tender” and “On the Edge of Mind”) for the territory: BiH, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, and the signing of the Agreement with Beta Film GmbH for the global distribution of the series “Kotlina” and “I know how you breathe”.
At this year’s edition of SFF, the series “Kotlina”, “Tender” and “On the Edge of Mind”, produced by BH Content Lab, were nominated for the Heart of Sarajevo award for TV series.
“Eight nominations for the Heart of Sarajevo for the first season of the series “Kotlina” are a confirmation for the nominees and the whole team, because colleagues from the region recognized the quality of the series. But, of course, as a producer, it seems more important to me that we finally have a domestic series production, thanks to the BH project Content Lab and BH Telecom successfully entered the regional market on a larger scale,” said film producer Amra Bakšić-Čamo.
During the SFF, the first two episodes of the series “I know how you breathe” directed by Jasmila Žbanić, which is produced within the BH Content Lab platform of BH Telecom, are scheduled to premiere, while the broadcast of the series is expected at the beginning of the autumn program schedule exclusively on the MY TV channel.
“And this year, we are continuing with the public call for submissions of feature series projects as well as films produced by BH Content Lab. A public call for feature series and film projects with themes for key events from our history, from the Middle Ages to today, was also published,” said the executive director for business development of BH Telecom, Muamer Hadžović.
As he emphasized, the public call is continuously open until December 31 for interested persons who want to be partners of BH Telecom with their production/creative projects for the creation of the highest quality domestic TV content.
Among the eleven projects selected for the script development phase, two (Trake” – production of the Overture Association and “The Butterfly Effect” – Oxygen Production; screenplay: Vedrana Božinović) are directed by the celebrated BiH. director Dino Mustafić.
“At this stage of the selection for the development of the script, there is a lot of work to be done in order to reach the final version of the script, which I believe will be of thematic and genre interest to the viewers of the region. These are important, emotional and necessary stories with interesting characters that we can remember like the best television productions in our languages,” revealed Mustafić.
In addition to the mentioned projects, the projects selected so far for the script development phase are: “Ojužilo” (creator Boba Jelčić, producer Ines Radić), “Sari” (screenplay Rifat Kukić, production “Knights of the Bosnian Kingdom”, producer Adnan Hasković), ” Hedgehogs in the Mist” (Realstage Association; director Nermin Hamzagić, creator Džana Pinjo), “Kotlina 2 seasons” (SCCA/pro.ba, Creators: Danis Tanović and Amra Bakšić Ćamo), “8 days” (SCCA/pro.ba Idea: Elma Tataragić, Screenwriters: Elma Tataragić, Asja Krsmanović, Emina Omerović), “White Days” (NewEra studios (Firefly), author Filip Jokanović), “Regional” (FIST Production, Author: Feđa Isović), “Tender – 3rd season”, (FIST Production, Author Srđan Vuletić, directors: Neven Samardžić, Amra Mehić, Alen Šimić) and “On the edge of memory – 3rd season”, (FIST Production, Author Adnan Kapetanović, director Elmir Jukić).
During SFF, BH Telecom prepares numerous contents for spectators and visitors of the Festival.
Special festival content will be available for free on the MY TV channel, and events from the festival locations will be shown live.
During the festival days, the bhtelecom.ba/sff sub-site will be the central place for the placement of all information, actions, materials and digital content related to the 29th SFF, BH Telecom will reward users with free tickets for screenings and organize a “Giveaway” via the BH Telecom profile on social networks.
